Description:
1/10RC TOYOTA HILUX 4WD High Lift (RN36)
[Driving on a roadless road by shifting gears]
This kit is a reproduction of the Toyota Hilux (RN36), a four-wheel drive pickup truck that was very popular in Japan and the U.S. in the 1980s, and is still very popular today. The suspension is a rigid type with metal axle housing positioned by leaf springs and oil dampers, and equipped with a radius rod in the rear. The body equipped with a sleeper carburetor is made of styrene plastic using precision molds to give a sense of scale. The large 123mm-diameter tires give the vehicle an attractive lift in height.
[Description]
The RN36 model was developed as an export-only model from the third-generation Hilux (30/40 series) that appeared in 1978 as a Toyota pickup truck. The rigid axle suspension with front leaf spring shackles positioned to the rear provided sufficient ground clearance for cross-country driving and trial competitions. The RN36 was mainly exported to North America, but was later sold in Japan as well, where it became popularly known as the “Sub Roc,” and is still loved by fans around the world today.
